Guidelines

Who Can Enter:

• Authors, illustrators, and publishers of self-published or traditionally published books.

• Media content creators (websites, social media, blogs, vlogs, podcasts), book clubs,

       and book festival organizers (media categories).​

Publication Dates:

• Accepting books with a copyright no earlier than May 2023.

Accepted Formats:

• Print and E-book entries are welcome.

ISBN Requirement:

• Yes, every entry must have an ISBN.

Entry Open Period:

• December 1, 2024 - October 31, 2025

Entry Fees:

• $75 per book per category. View Categories

• A single book can be entered into multiple categories with a fee for each.

• Series entries: $75 per series per category.

• Entry fees are non-refundable.

How to Submit:

• Online: Complete the form and pay with a credit card.

• Mail-in: Download the form, mail it with a check, and receive confirmation via email.

Sending Your Book:

• Print Books: Mail one book to the provided address, including the entry confirmation. It is not necessary to send additional books for multiple categories.

• Ebooks: Upload online, or transfer through Google Drive, WeTransfer, or Dropbox using the email address: litstarbookawards@gmail.com

• Note: Submitted books will not be returned.

Sending Your Media Materials (Media Categories):

• Email media links and media materials to litstarbookawards@gmail.com

Judging Process:

• Books are judged on content, originality, design, and production quality.

• The judging panel includes librarians, editors, educators, readers, booksellers, and publishers.

Prizes:

• Multiple winners in each category.

• Winners receive:

  • Commemorative medal.

  • Frame-worthy certificate.

  • Digital image for sharing on websites and social media.

  • Physical award seals are available for purchase.
